Update 26 Apr 2024 They finally resolved the issue! I am glad to be able to use both wifi and remote versions again. But after some months thougy.... so I updated to 4 stars from earlier 1 star. 30 Jan 2024 with recent update, I realised I cannot view my camera remotely when I am outside, unless I delete the home network view from my hikconnect. so frustrating.

EDITED another update done but didn't fix any of the issues. Since update I keep getting blank notifications several times a day. Notification comes through that line has been crossed. Go onto video which is blank preview picture and says unavailable when try and play. Also when out of the house app rarely connects to cameras even in 5g areas. Even inside the house is not connecting in app since update.

The current state of the Hikvision app is utterly frustrating. It used to work seamlessly, but now it's a disaster. Despite having a strong 100mbps network, I can't connect to view my camera feed online. The app keeps throwing a "Device Streaming Timed Out" error. It's appalling that even with high-speed connectivity, the app fails to transmit data. This level of incompetence in customer and application support is simply unacceptable.
